Set of two ASEA "Coquille" wall lamps in great condition. Elegant wall sconces with acid treated glass, manufactured by the Swedish company ASEA Skandia in the 1950s.
Acid-etching is a specialized glass fabrication process involving hydrofluoric acid to give its surface a frosted look which provides a pleasantly diffused light.
The shell shape is supported by the scalloped edge and lines throughout the shades that also creates an appealing effect when the lamps are on.
The sconces are open on the sides and tops. The glass mounted on brass bases provides elegance and a beautiful contrast.

Pls be aware that the wall lamps are original pieces from the 1950s and show smaller signs of wear - which adds to their authentic charm - see the last pictures for close ups. The overall impression of the sconces, when the glasses are mounted into the brass structures is amazing and no damages is visible if you look at the front of the lamps, the signs of use are on the back of the glass and on the part of the glass that is hidden into the brass structure.

Original wiring but the cable is missing so the lamps need new wiring. Very simple wiring construction so easy to add a short cable and you can install directly into the wall OR ad a visible cable with switch & plug.
