Upsala Ekeby Stoneware Table Lamp, "Beata". White and Brown base with a Wonderful, Playful Deco, a Woman Portrait on the front and Deco with flowers and Trees on the side. Design by Mari Simmulson for Swedish Upsala-Ekeby. 1960s.

Good Vintage Condition with light signs of use, but please note that this lamp has a two imperfections (see the last pictures) - one small nail and one imperfection from the production (a little bit of white glaze is missing). Both imperfections are on the left side of the lamp base and not to bothersome or visible.

New wiring and new beautiful lampholder in antique brass.

Shade is sold separately.

Mari Simmulson was an Estonian-Swedish potter born in St. Petersburg of Estonian parents.
She studied at the State Academy of Arts in Tallinn, later completed internships at Arabia Porcelain Factory. In 1944 she moved to Sweden and started working with Wilhelm Kåge at Gustavsberg's Porcelain factory. In 1949 she left Gustavsberg to work at Upsala Ekeby where the production she is most remembered for comes to, including figures, vases and reliefs.
